Calcium Ascorbate is white to almost white crystalline powder. It has a lot of benefits to the body.
Calcium ascorbate is an odorless white to pale yellow crystalline powder. The color may change to pale yellow on prolonged storage time. Calcium ascrobate easily dissolves in water, hardly dissolves in ethanol and is insoluble in chloroform and ethoxyethane.
Calcium ascorbate is a compound with the molecular formula CaC12H14O12. It is the calcium salt of ascorbic acid, one of the mineral ascorbates.
As a food additive, it has the E number E 302. It is approved for use as a food additive in the EU,USA and Australia and New Zealand. Among its many uses is to keep apples fresh, so they do not turn brown quickly.

Stability and Storage:
This product is fairly stable to air if protected from humidity, but is somewhat sensitive to heat. The product may be stored for 24 months from the date of manufacture in the unopened original container and at room temperature below 25ºC. On prolonged storage, a slight yellow discoloration may occur which, however, does not affect the biological activity.
